My piece, “The Flame That Never Leaves,” uses candles as a metaphor for love, soul ties, and the lasting impact of human connection. The body shaped candles symbolize two people bound by memory and emotion. One candle still burns brightly, representing passion and presence, while the other is dim and burning out starting to leave, but yet still remaining. Representing how love doesn't vanish completely even when it changes form. The floating petals turning into ash express both beauty and fragility of love, as well the way it lingers in our memories long after the moment has passed. I also wanted this piece to reflect the idea of twin flames two souls believed to mirror and complete one another. Even when separated, their connection endures, pulling them back into each other’s lives through an unbreakable tie that has to do with their souls. My artwork captures this timeless truth, that love, especially between twin flames, is never truly lost, but continues to burn quietly within their souls.
